About Us

Bridging Gardens to Global Ports

Spices Kerala started in 2018 as a family farm alliance in Ernakulam district. We saw that local smallholders grew excellent nutmeg seeds but lacked direct avenues to reach international markets. Our mission was to build a clean sorting facility and offer direct-export infrastructure.

Today, we work with over 150 farmers in central Kerala. By offering fair, direct wages above traditional market rates and curing the spices ourselves, we ensure absolute chemical purity and full batch traceability.

Our Journey

From harvest to final processing, every step reflects our commitment to quality and tradition

Step 01

Hand Harvesting

Only naturally cracked pods are harvested from branches, signaling peak seed maturity.

Step 02

Mace Extraction

Red mace arils are peeled off the shells by hand to maintain whole flower forms, then solar-dried.

Step 03

Curring & Shelling

Nutmeg pods are dried slowly on raised beds until seeds rattle, then carefully graded.

Step 04

Export Dispatch

Lab check clears are finalized, and products are vacuum packed for container loading at Cochin Port
